Jungian Psychotherapy

Depth. Dreams. Direction.

My approach to therapy focuses heavily on our inner and embodied lives. Drawing from Jungian, depth-oriented, experiential, and dream-centered practices, I work collaboratively with clients to bring thoughts, emotions, bodily experiences, dreams, and unconscious patterns into awareness so they can be explored with curiosity, compassion, and greater understanding.

If you are someone who feels drawn to exploring the depths of your inner world through reflection, dreams, symbolism, imagination, and embodied experience, this approach will likely feel rich, engaging, and meaningful.

“As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being.” - C.G. Jung

What is it like to work with me?

Therapy is first and foremost, a relationship. It is a collaborative partnership between therapist and client in service of healing, growth, and greater self-understanding. Together, we work toward goals that are meaningful to you. These goals may include reducing the impact of anxiety or depression, navigating a life transition, improving relationships, processing trauma, or engaging in a deeper exploration of yourself and your inner world.

From a Jungian perspective, therapy is not simply about symptom reduction, although relief from suffering is certainly important. It is also an opportunity to become curious about the deeper patterns, emotions, dreams, and experiences that shape your life. Often, periods of distress can serve as invitations to better understand ourselves and move toward greater authenticity and wholeness.

Successful therapy requires collaboration, openness, and a willingness to engage in the process both inside and outside of session. While every therapeutic journey is unique, you can generally expect the following:

  • I will provide education and insight related to your unique concerns, symptoms, and experiences.

  • Together, we will explore thoughts, emotions, bodily experiences, relationship patterns, dreams, and symbolic material that may emerge in our work.

  • I will support you in developing greater awareness of conscious and unconscious patterns that may be contributing to your struggles.

  • We may identify practices, reflections, or experiential exercises to explore between sessions in order to deepen and integrate the work.

  • I will help you identify patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that no longer serve you while supporting you in cultivating new ways of relating to yourself and others.

  • Throughout our work, we will remain curious about what your symptoms, dreams, emotions, and life experiences may be communicating about your unique path toward healing and growth.

Ultimately, Jungian Psychotherapy is not about becoming someone different. It is about becoming more fully yourself.
